We had a great experience with Monarch. They are a family business run by two generations of Robert. Our specific problem was a deck whose waterproofing had spring a leak during this year's rains. They quoted me for a replacement of the surface and a fixing of a soft spot in the underlying plywood. Their pricing was very reasonable. Once we had taken up the boards, we found some rot in the supporting 2x4, which had to be replaced, and was added to the quote. This was extra, but the quote was still reasonable. The new deck system we have is a big improvement on the previous one in terms of structure, and looks pleasing to the eye.

The crew that came was efficient, and worked quickly to get it done on time. Robert senior supervised them closely, starting and finishing the job. They are conducting multiple jobs in a single day around the area, so their arrival times are fairly rough estimates, but I think this is how they keep their costs low. We also have their warranty coverage and will use them again to renew the deck covering when it is time.

We had a great experience with Monarch! We appreciated the speed at which they were able to complete our job, flexibility with working around our contractors schedule, and of course with the final project result!

I asked Monarch to redo my two decks. One had been worn about and was ready to start leaking on to the lower floor. Robert's team came and gave a fair estimate. They completed the job in two and half days and cleaned up after themselves. Overall they did a great job.

I will make a small comment though. Although it doesn't change my review. They would say that they would be at the property at a certain time and often it was late by about an hour. When they are supervised by Robert, they are excellent; when he isn't there they do a good job but are not as thorough and detailed.

We have had a roof issue for over 6 years that has never been able to be properly diagnosed. Robert and his team were not only able to diagnose the problem, but complete the work in a very efficient and timely manner! Robert and his team were very professional and very clean! We are beyond happy with the results and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

Our balcony needed some waterproofing/repair and I was told to contact Robert Sr. I was quick to get a quote and a start date. I felt price was reasonable so I went ahead. The workers were very professional and answered any questions I had along the way. The balcony turned out superb and the workers even spent a good time cleaning up which I very much appreciated. This company does great work at a reasonable price. After getting quotes from multiple vendors they gave me the best price with the same scope of work as all other vendors. They finished the job in about 3 days. I made a small request to fix some of the caulking that wasn't smooth around my support beams and Robert sent someone to fix it the next day. The worker on-site, Haris, was kind and focused. I would recommend this company.

Robert and his team came out to get us a free estimate the day after I called, inquiring about Monarch's services. We received a fair and well-thought out quote to re-do our restaurant patio, and Robert kept in communication with us while we deliberated the work with our landlord. We made the mistake of trusting a company to build our balcony deck (5 years ago) that did not use the proper waterproofing steps. Our deck showed rotting wood underneath and around the posts as well as a cracking deck coating. Trust me, you do not want to try and save money and cut corners when it comes to waterproofing and the metal flashing, we have learned our lesson. Ryan gave us a bid that came with a 5-year warranty on his work. He was very professional, gave a bid the same day, was straight forward, and honest. His experienced work crew was prompt daily and left the job site immaculate every day. They wore their masks the entire day even though they never set foot in my home, I certainly wouldn't expect this from them. The damage was worse than expected but Ryan stood by the original bid. The work was done to code and I'm confident there will be no issues with it. I highly recommend this company for any deck repair, he stands by his work.

We were very pleased with the experience we had with Monarch Concrete Coatings. I called to request an appointment to get a quote for repairs to a balcony deck and getting two other balcony decks recoated for waterproofing. Ryan showed up on time for the scheduled appointment. He was very courteous and thoroughly explained how our deck should be repaired. He provided a detailed quote that same day. Later when I picked Monarch to do the job, Ryan worked out the schedule with me. His crew of two, with 30 years of experience, showed up on time to start the job. Their experience showed in the efficiency of their work, as they completed the job in the three days scheduled. They cleaned up the work site each day before they left. When they finished the job, all the decks looked brand new, including the one they had done extensive repairs on. When we need to reseal the decks in about 5 years, we’ll use Monarch again!

I could not be happier with Ryan and his crew (Ruben et al.). They were all great to work with and did a fantastic job with our balcony deck, which was cracked and had rotting wood underneath. It was a difficult project due to our own neglect and some rough weather to work through, but now it looks brand new (and we know it's a lot safer now than it was before). Ruben came early, worked late, and both Ruben and Ryan would keep us up-to-date on how the project was going. In fact, they were able to complete the job a day early! Ryan's crew came in the middle of the night, grinded and sealed the space. There work area was immaculately clean. These guys are absolutely awesome! We had the concrete in our garage and our entire back yard demoed and restored and are shocked by how much of a difference it made. Even though there was extra work that was uncovered during the process, Ryan stayed true to his quote and completed the project in timely matter and he and his brother were extremely professional and had our best interest in mind the whole time. We recently had our patio concrete resurfaced and brick sealed. We had nice hardscape but it was just old. We really did not want the expense of taking out the existing concrete. I found Monarch Concrete Coatings online. They did a fantastic job resurfacing our concrete and then staining it. They also cleaned up our planter wall by painting it with waterproof paint. Our brick on the planter wall was messed up in places. Stacy suggested that we paint the brick. It turned out fabulous. We are so happy with our new hardscape. I know it will last for the life of the home. It was no small feat as it is close to 500 sq ft of deck... So when I needed my garage floor done I had them give me a bid.
